Well, it was a few weeks off, but here the season is again. To update everyone, I sold my trusty GSXR-1000. I was kind of sad to see it go, but I have to deal with the realities of life as a trackside vendor. To go fast on a 1000, you have to be able to master the feel between twisting the throttle hard and knowing how the back end is going to react. As a vendor, I have not been getting the quality track time I had hoped to get. As a result, I am purchasing a Yamaha R-6 and believe the lack of brutal horsepower will allow me to do my job and race with enjoyment a few times this year.
On another note, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Business has been phenomenal. I believe the tech articles on this website have been a great tool to communicate to everyone how much detail and effort I put into my work. The fact that many of RPS's customers win races doesn't hurt either!!!
Regardless, I looking forward to another great year of working with racers.
